Portland Marina

We’ll be spending the weekend in Portland Marina enjoying the areas delights. There are a few interesting walks from the marina such as Chesil Beach, the Naval Military Cemetry, and a good climb up to the Verne where you have the most amazing views over the harbour and Chesil Beach. There are also some interesting places to visit, such as the American Military Normandy Invasion Museum in Charlestown, just a short walk from the marina, and Portland Castle (another short walk from the marina). There are a few eating venues in and near to the marina and a new Lidl’s at the entrance to the marina.

Friday 12th – Monday 15th July (3 nights).

On Sunday 14th July, some members will continue down to the west country (see other cruise) while the rest cruise back home to Poole YC.

Alternative Arrangements:

We can adjust the booking for those skippers that may not be able to do the whole trip. If you let us know the times/days you can attend then we can make the neccessary arrangements with the Marina. Please state this in the ‘Requirements’ box on the booking form.
