Jo McGregor – Bluebell’s Final Voyage

Jo MacGregor and friend Oli, sailed Bluebell (a 16ft open dinghy) Across the English Channel to Alderney, and Guernsey. A feat daunting enough in a 30 foot cruiser, but in a 16ft open dinghy……..now that would be truely daunting for many others.

It turned out to be a voyage of 2 parts: a successful, and bold crossing, followed, the next day, by catastrophe when the rudder broke in the famous Alderney Race!!

Come and hear the story, accompanied by a photo slide & video show to accompany the talk, showing yachting from Jo’s point in an open boat.
