The RYA Diesel Engine course is an introductory course aimed at preventing breakdowns and solving basic problems at sea. Suitable for leisure boaters and those working on the water.
The course will cover:
The four stroke cycle, fuel, cooling and air systems, engine electrical systems, spares and tool requirements, winterisation and servicing.
This course is being hosted by Dorset Marine Training, and shall be run at the Yacht Club.
Instructions
This is a full course run over 2 evenings (you must attend both dates to complete the course) and shall be run from a classroom. You will have the ability to get hands on with an engine and learn all the skills required.
There is no previous experience needed.
