Tom Cunliffe is a Top International Yachtsman, Author and Wonderful Speaker and Raconteur

Tom is the consummate nautical story teller whose experience and knowledge he delights in relaying to boaters and others. He is the author of many books including: The Complete Yachtmaster; 200 Skipper’s Tips; The Shell Channel Pilot; and many others.
He also has presented a valuable series for the BBC – The Boats that Built Britain.
For his first talk at PYC he will take us through:
The Life and Times of the Shell Channel Pilot’ in his own description
“I inherited this well-known guide for yachtsmen in the English Channel from the swashbuckling Commander Johnnie Coote, who in turn had it from the legendary Adlard Coles. In this talk, I combine the history of the book with some of the misadventures I’ve had to go to for readers.” It will be fully illustrated.
