Heavy weather is a lurking threat that most of us hope and plan to avoid, but not even internet forecasting can make it go away. The object of this talk is to give everyone, a sound brief so that whether they find themselves at the wrong end of a force-six blow along the coast, or confronting serious waves far out at sea, they are fully aware of their options for taking it in their stride.n. The talk will be fully illustrated.
We will make the iconic walk from the car park to Old Harry Rocks and then walk back, past the Bankes Arms and on to St.Nicholas Church where Iain Dickie will tell us some interesting facts about the fascinating headstone dedicated to Lieutenant William Lawrence and his wife, Clothilde. Jan will also point out some of the intriguing sculptures on the exterior of the church, and then on to the Bankes Arms around 12.30, 1.p.m. Please book in advance so we can advise pub re numbers!
